How to make homemade air fresheners

Rods freshener

Materials you will need:

1 small bottle preferably glass (no purchase necessary, you can reuse any bottle you have at home: just wash and dry well in advance);
Some wooden sticks (typical BBQ);
70 ml of sweet almond oil;
30 drops of essential oil of your choice;
Optional: elements to decorate the jar to your liking (as bows, ribbons, etc.).
How to:

Pour the sweet almond oil and the essential oil into the vial. Cut the sticks of wood in half and place them well within this and can then decorate it as you like.

Other tips:

To take full advantage of this and extend your air freshener scent longer, just flip the sticks every week.



Air Freshener Essential Oil

Materials you will need:

1 spray bottle;
15 drops of lavender essential oil;
10 drops of orange essential oil;
1 teaspoon (tsp) vodka;
500 ml of water.
How to:

Put the two essential oils and vodka in spray bottle, shake well. Finally, add water and stir again to achieve good mixing. It is ready to use!

Other tips:

Please note that should vaporize little at a time and do not directly to the furniture and other objects.



When using lavender and orange get a refreshing aroma and something energetic, but if however you want something more calm and cool, you can use different oils. Try for example a mixture of pine oil with sandalwood oil (about 15 drops each).

Gelatin freshener

Materials you will need:

Glass jars with lids (may take advantage to reuse jam jars, for example);
1 packet gelatin flavor you prefer;
125 ml of boiling water;
125 ml of cold water;
30 ml of vodka;
12 ml essential oil of your choice.
How to:

Start by preparing the gelatin normally: choose the flavor, boil the water and put the entire contents of the package, stirring well to dissolve. Add the same amount in cold water and finally join her vodka and essential oil, always continuing to stir.

When the result will appear homogeneous, distribute it by the glass vials (properly cleaned) and let stand to cool and solidify.

Other tips:

By using this freshener, remember to close the bottle when they want to enjoy it - so the scent lasts longer. This type of homemade air freshener is a very simple and affordable option that offers a sweet aroma and taste. It is also an original way to bring harmony to your home - try it!



Air freshener and cotton cloth

Materials you will need:

Essential oil of your choice;
Some cotton balls;
Fabric cut into circles (take scraps of fabric that are no longer needed);
Ribbon, string or line.
How to:

Take the cotton balls and drunk them in the essential oil. The amount of cotton balls depends solely on the size of the air freshener you want to do. Put a set of balls on top of each circle of cloth and tie with ribbon, string or line of their choice.

Other tips:

If you have an aptitude for sewing and want to finish more care, make small cloth bags instead of using only the circles of cloth.

Unlike previous solutions, this air freshener is designed specifically to the interior of the wardrobes and other furniture, leaving a pleasant scent on your clothes. You can hang them on hangers, in man or simply put them in drawers.
