Whats your dream bathroom look like?

I only have one bathroom in my house. To make matters worse, its very tiny. This all made me wonder, what would I want in a bathroom? Lots of light for one. Natural light is the best and if I could have privacy along with that big window in the top picture, well perfection! I know the trend is for matte fixtures these days, but I love shiny chrome. Lastly for my big ticket wish, a bathroom that opened up to a pool, would be so wonderful. So whats your dream bath all about?

The Clawfoot Tub

I don't know if the clawfoot tub is the first thing you'd think of for a small space, but it seems the trend of using this sort of tub is sticking around. I myself have never been in one, but they are so charming, I've always thought I needed one (even though I take a "bath" about once or twice a year.) Does anyone have one? What do you like and dislike about it? On a side note- sorry I have not been blogging as much. I'm hoping to pick the pace back up next week! I've been so busy with family stuff! Have a great weekend everyone!

Interesting Bathrooms

Its so cool to see all the new and interesting things they have come up with for bathrooms. Why sinks alone have changed a lot. Seems to me every room in your house is worth a second thought, and that's fantastic! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!! Talk to you again on Monday!

Colorful Tile

I know I tout white a lot here, and I will always love a white bathroom with colorful accents but I'm seeing some of the most beautiful blue and green tile work for baths. Such aqua and greens are so inspiring for a bath, reminds one of water and the outdoors. I'm loving so many colorful tiles that next time I redo a bathroom, it'll be very hard to pick a color!!

Some More Small Baths

<

Here are some more pictures of small baths with lots of style. I love when I see great style in small spaces. It makes me believe that anythings possible in design! My sister and her kids are staying with me this week. 7 people sharing ONE bathroom! Crazy? Probably. Summer camp like? You bet! LOL

Small Bathrooms

I have mentioned that my small house has a really large backyard. It is so nice to have. Now, the worst part of my home. Only one bathroom! Ok ok so there is only one. Only one to clean!! The real problem is, its the size of a postage stamp! You would think having one bath they would have made it larger. Nope. Small baths need not lack style. I put in a pedestal sink. Crazy to loose under sink space? Not really. It made the bath feel bigger. I also put in a huge mirror. That helps tons! I do have a linen closet right outside the door, so that helps. I guess what I'm saying is, tiny does not have to be with out style. I do find that it helps to limit your colors to 1-3. White goes with all so its a good starting part. Most people have lots of white in a bath. Use lots of vertical space. Target has some really nice pieces and cabs for baths now that are very well priced. Keep out what is pretty and hide the rest! (before I get asked, none of the above baths are mine! I will always mention in the post when a photo is of my house)

Baths!

I have such a thing for bathrooms! Sounds rather silly but I do. For some reason, I'm really drawn to a bright white bath. The one room in my house that is way too small is my bath! Most magazines think a small bath is when you can't fit 2 sinks in it! Maybe they just can't get their photographer in a true small bath to take pictures! My friend Linda is working on getting a sink like the one in that top picture. I can't wait to see it! I want one too! So vintage and chic at the same time!
