String Lights

Hi all! Sorry about my lack of post, I was on vacation over the fourth. Anyways, I spent a lot of times outdoors. One thing my eye is always drawn to is string lights. I love the vibe they give off. I have my eye on a tree in my yard that would look great ! How do you "light" your outdoor spaces ??

Patio Space

If you have limited space outside (and yes I know a lot of people have NO outdoor space) but if you are limited, a table for just two is always a good thing. If you can't have a party for 30 at least you have a spot for a great conversation one on one!

Lets get outside !

Ok so where I live it can be 80 degrees one day and 50 the next. Ahhh April, but it is time to start thinking about your outdoor spaces, no matter how small !

Do you have those decor pictures that make your heart beat a bit faster ? Here are a few of mine. Art that pops in the kitchen, green used outdoors, a fat comfy couch (cute puppy a huge bonus) and a bright white bathroom. Sighhhhhhh. I love design.

Anybody else ready to get OUTDOORS ???

Spring must be close. When I start looking at patio pictures, it usually means the end of winter is here !! I will be looking for pictures of smaller yards and what to do if you have no yard for future post ! Happy Sunday !

Window Cheats

Ok, so these rooms are not particularly small, but I think it shows how the more natural light you have in a room the bigger it feels. I know not everyone is lucky enough to have a huge window or sliding door, but if you can put seating or a table near a window, DO IT !! My own kitchen is only about 10 x 12 but I have a sliding door that leads to a screened in porch. That visually makes my kitchen feel A LOT bigger. Move some furniture tonight, place a comfy reading chair by a window !

Get Outside !!!

As the days get shorter where I live, I keep looking around outside and taking it all in. Enjoy your last days of summer where ever you are !

Outdoors is Calling !

When you live in a small space, chances are your outdoor space is small too. But that does not mean you can't have a stylish place to go, even if its as simple as two chairs and a small table. Look at your space and carve out any niche you can. A small balcony, a spot in the corner of the yard. Anything is possible if you look and think outside the box!

Stay Outside Longer

For the psst 2 days when I go out onto my screened porch with my morning coffee, I've felt the first nip of fall in the air. Rather strange because this time of year where I live, its still usually very hot. I'm sure we will still have some very hot days, but it looks like summer 08 is winding down fast. So get outside people! I can't say it enough!

Dreaming of Summer

The weather is finally warming up here and I can't help but notice how much my mood has improved over the last few days. I find myself thinking about the outdoors all the time! Have a great weekend everyone and HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Staying lighter out longer, check. Temps going up, check. Pretty outdoor pictures starting to crop up, check. Feeling better already....

Outdoor Showers

About 2 years ago I picked up a wooden outdoor shower at Target. It was on sale for 1/2 off and I had to have it. When I brought it home, my husband gave me a very puzzled look. I've always had a love for the idea of showering outdoors. My dream shower would really be indoors with windows all around (and privacy of course.) I'm far from being a exhibitionist, I think it has to do with water and the outdoors. Anyways, since then, ever time I see a picture of a outdoor shower I save it. Even if its for just rinsing sand off, I love em'. The payback for my purchase? Our
plumbing went out one morning shortly after I bought it. There stood my hubby, in his swim trunks, taking a outdoor shower before work! He never said another word!

Time to Get Outdoors

The weather where I live has been wonderful. I love spring time. It gives the spirit such a boost. It does not matter how many times you experience it, it only seems to be more glorious each year. The air is clearer, the sun so bright. Tonic for the soul! Even if you have a small yard, get outside and enjoy!
